Ultrasound beef tenderness detection

Summary:

The project goal is to determine material characteristics by analyzing the reflections of pulses of 3.5 MHz ultrasound.

We control an 8x8 pulser/multiplexer board and capture the signals with a 14 bit, 125M samples/sec analog to digital converter. We use an elaborate matrix of transmit and receive transducers to collect a profile of the material. We use pattern recognition and analysis techniques on the resulting waveform to determine the material properties.
