Services
Boulder Labs provides a complete array of custom software development services. We use open source technology and our diverse expertise to quickly turn the ideas of scientists, inventors, and entrepreneurs into real products.
Our strengths include:
Embedded systems. We're experienced in developing firmware, drivers, real-time control systems, and custom user interfaces for devices with space, memory, and processing limitations.
Desktop applications. We have a streamlined approach to desktop application development. We use modern mockup software to ensure you end up with a user interface that suits your needs, then we use best practice development to deliver responsive, usable, and reliable products complete with installers and documentation.
Mobile applications. Our team is versed in development for Android devices, using an approach similar to our desktop application development process.
Client-server commounication. We're competent in networking technologies, from having developed our own fast and flexible network library to building scalable multithreaded services.
Our preferred toolset includes C/C++ (including the Boost C++ libraries), Python, and/or Qt in a Linux environment. We are also very proficient with Java, various web technologies, Ruby, Windows, C#, and more.
Additionally, we have strong domain expertise in physics, linguistics, human-computer interaction, compilers, image processing, and data visualization.
For specific examples of our work, please see our Projects. Use our expertise to grow your business, further your research, or kickstart your invention. Contact us today. We'll be happy to give you a tour of the office and demonstrate our projects.
